Jameel,

Sounds like you did your homework. I couldn't agree more with your comment stating, "The more I read and understood what they were trying to accomplish I appreciated the music more", because I was in that same boat initially. As I dug deeper into their roots and they evolved from just using simple acoustic instruments and transforming them into erotica sounds, did you know that their stage presence played a big role for their music? During their live performances, had a lot of downtime onstage which they took advantage of to show off their talents with improvisation. Also, as they progressed with the infatuation of electronics, their drummer began to slowly fad away, seemingly to be replaced by the loops and drum/beat machines in order to make their sound a more structural sound. All in all, you covered this topic very well, as it was evident the further down your blog I read.

I definitely love ready and responding to your posts this month, mainly because of the subject you tend to choose, along with the relevance of supporting words behind them. Phil Spector was also my choice of independent research for the simple reason that I, myself, am an engineer the embedded some of Phil Spector’s techniques when it comes to mixing. Although, later in his career, Phil did experience massive drug use, as most musicians did also, which also took a massive part in his creativity while he created his most influential hits to this day. The Wall of Sound is still influencing newly found artists and I’m sure will always influence them as long as big names such as the Beach boys, Tina Turner, the Ronettes, and the Beatles names' exist, for he played such a gigantic role in their success and producing that sound of perfection. Continue to evolve into such a great learner of those who have come before you along with you distinguishable blog writing skills, I’m sure your place in the entertainment industry will be long last!

It sounds as if you have been built and brought up heavily around music. I admire your cognitive(ness) that you show with your knowledge here concerning Marvin Gaye. He was a great music artist & also known as the number one sex idol in the 60’s; did you read where he only cheated on his wife once? That's pretty big for a nation-wide sex idol, which women throw their selves at him 24/7. I really admire the fact that he stayed well-grounded to what he believed in and it was just a tragedy how he was killed in the early years of the 80's, by the hand of his own father.
